Question. For Italians you have to randomly roll your motivation/quality at the start of each game, once for each platoon, on the "8 million bayonets" table. Do you also have to roll for the Company HQ and 2iC? If so, do you roll separately for them?

My personal interpretation is that you do.

Yes, you do roll motivation for the HQ, but you roll for them together, as they are in the HQ "platoon". They are in a platoon box, even if they are both independent teams. Think of it like how you don't roll for the separate observer teams of artillery.

Also, I'd like to add, that in V3, when you deploy your platoons, you have to keep them in-command at the lowest distance available on the 8MB chart, so that you're not out-of-command if you happen to roll lower than expected.
