Looks really sweet, I'm just looking for some help from someone who's played it before (I just received the game as a gift, I think it will be fun, but for a board game there is a lot going on)

Sounds good to me. That's how I usually learn my FFG games the first time I play. I really like Horus Heresy, I only wish it was more than 2 players by default.
