Figured I would start a painting blog with the stuff I've painted as well as what my son has painted. My stuff will be orks and chaos, my son's will be space marines. Images will be added when I get home, for the already completed, and as I get them for those not completed.

Guess I'm just going to throw all the pictures of completed models into this entry. Will be adding WIP when I get home.

Looks good so far. I am loving the rust effects on the Orks' weapons, and the chipping paint as well.

Thanks. I got the idea from http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/460487.page#4499516. A good tutorial from Gitsplitta. Though I used a large drybrushing brush instead of a sponge. I also used red, orange and brown, in that order and kind of went crazy on the weapons. Next time, for gaks and giggles, I plan on painting some parts of the weapon a non-metallic color to see how it goes. I also plan on using those three colors in a different order, namely red, brown and orange.

Haven't got much done in the last few days due to my vacation being over. But I did get the skin and some of the base coating down.

I will also be priming a few more space marines for my son, either tonight or tomorrow.

Got the DA bikers from DV primed for my son. Going to have add one advanced step to his painting this time. Adding drybrushing after the model is washed to help pick out the raised details and add a bit of depth to it. Photos will be added as they become available.

Finished the first 5 ork boys, they include 2 big shootas. Painting eyes on them were a pain in my ass, so I took the easy way and didn't.

Yeah, eyes can be a real pain in the butt. Orks are looking great so far!

Finished the bases and added a wash to darken up the big shootas up a bit.

Bought some big choppa, power klaw and lightning claw bits to toss onto my nobz. Hopefully the terminator lightning claws will look good on the nobz. Once I get em put together I will post a pic or two.

Well, my son finished his DA bikers. When I get home I will post them up. He is now working on the first 5 DA in power armor.

Finished my Mek with KFF and burna

Can you post a picture of his rear? I'm wondering what you used for the KFF. (and also I wonder why I bought the KFF model... yours is much cooler)

It was one of the burnas from the loota/burna box with the mek head. The top part was a part of one of the deff guns. The KFF parts are the options for the runt herder attached to long cotton swabs. I also took strands of braided wire and braided them together to make the cables that deliver power to the various parts.

Decided that my next mob of boyz will be albinos. Just gotta figure out what base color to use, light green or pinkish.

Finished up my Chaos Sorcerer. Still debating about putting a transfer on the empty shoulder pad.
