So, I've been playing a bunch of Dominion recently, and have mostly enjoyed it, except for one problem--

I feel like money cards are subtly overpowered, and that probably around 7/10 times, you're better off buying money than anything else (except, of course, property after a certain point). This is disappointing to me because I don't like there being a clearly stronger choice, and I feel like

(As a note, how we've been generating games is occasionally doing the set games, and mostly doing random cards evenly distributed, with each player allowed to swap one card out for a random new card. We mostly do 2-player, sometimes 3.)

I've played with the base set, and Cornucopia (which encourages action cards, purely based on variety), so don't know about the rest, but does anyone else feel this way?

Are there any house rules or ways of playing/structuring the game you've found that balance the game a little better, or, even better, is there an expansion that balances this out a bit?

Thanks in advance!

Just try a different strategy... play the first game buy only one silver and spend the rest of your money buying smithy and villiager cards. Buy equal Numbers of both. Goal get to where you run your whole deck every turn. Buy property as soon as you can. Amazing how effective this simple engine is..

Once you get some other expansions (I bought the Big Box set)you can find many other fun combos.
