A bit of explanation here. I'm trying out Mid-War lists, and this is the first one that really seems doable. Except from the Rocket Launcher Battery, everything else is from two copies of the new Open Fire! starter box. Please, tell me what mistakes I've made and how to improve the general playability of this list.

Looks decent for a first list (granted, this is of general German knowledge, I don't have specific experience with Schnellschwadron), though I think you might want to see about some AA for it, as planes can be pretty nasty in V3. You might also want a little more anti-tank, as I don't think you will do good against very tank-heavy lists with this.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely find a way to get more AT into the squads, but you don't think that the 4 PaK40's and 3 Stug G's will do the trick?
You are right about the AA though... maybe I'll have to drop some Infantry to squeeze some some into the 1500 list.

Any other suggestions?

In most cases, the 4 PaK40's and 3 Stug G's will be sufficient, but I don't think this list will fair too well against very armor heavy lists (mostly Soviet Tankovy). For a starter list, however, it should be fine, and you will have the other Stugs from the starter set to incorporate (if you can add more in your list, of course). I think these are the extent of the suggestions I can make without specific knowledge about the list.

Put all your Pak40s in to one platoon and use Kampfgruppe to split them up if toy think you need it.

That will also give you an even number of Platoons, which is desirable for missions with reserves.

I'd also swap out the Nebs for anything that will get you three pieces.

What do you think of this list modification. I'm still using the Schnellwadron list from the Eastern Front book. While the HQ doesn't count as Recce, the rest of the infantry does (and I think that's pretty cool). Keep in mind, I'm trying to make this out of 2x of the new Open Fire! sets where possible. Oh, another question: would it be good to make a combat platoon into pioneers? If so, how would I need to model them?
