Hi guys,

Looking for some advice on running a close combat dreadnought in my pre-heresy world eaters (counts as BA). I am wondering if anyone has any luck with either the DC or furioso varieties and how you would equip them etc. I don't play in a super competetive group but I did see an article on BOLS a while ago saying how they are pretty useless in 6th, so just wanted to know if they are still a viable choice.

Cheers

A viable choice? Not really, unless you can manage to keep him safe before he's ready to charge. Today, its rather easy to ping a tank to death. So at least, the Dread needs cover during the advance.

Put them in stormravens, only really safe way to get them into close combat. Even then, your going to get unlucky with a overwatch metlagun shot. Or at least I did........

Yeah, telling people how this and that is 'garbage' and they should just throw their minis into the trash as they're not as efficient as XYZ.
