I just had an idea for a short story but didn't really know if it'd even make any sense in terms of the current lore so wanted to run it by you all to see how feasable/believable this could be:

on some ork infested hellhole, they launch an attack on some human world, the orks have a mad doc that through some quark of his genes and hence the knowledge he gets, somehow is able to fix up humans and space marines. Through some mutation of the lost ones that made the orks that one ork figured out how to resurrect even post humans.

The story takes place then in the form of a space marine who died and then got "resurrected" by the ork cause well the ork felt like it. The SM (now made up of parts of other marines/humans and is somehow alive), then realizes that he can potentially fix his primarch like guliman or whoever, maybe fix the emperor with this ork.

He would then escape, kidnap the ork and try to get back with his brother marines. It then comes down to him trying to convince the rest of the imperium to let this crazy ork doc fix up the emperor (which I'll go assume he actually could) but in typical grimdarkness he gets chased all over the place by the ordo xenos.

I haven't decided where I'd want this thing to go yet and so I'm wondering what you guys think? too "out there/broken" or fairly entertaining?

I'm pretty sure he
A) doesn't have a way of getting to the Imperium
B) doesn't have a way of getting shot through the head for being a vile xenos consorter/blasphemous wretched example of the human form as soon as he arrives on an Imperial world.
C) I doubt an ork doc would know juman 'wriggly bitz' just because, and certainly the orks would krump him as soon as they realise.

Sorry to be a nay sayer, but I doubt this scenario is believable within the setting.
Sorry bud.

Most of the reason that Doks are able to fix Orks is because the Ork physiology is so ridiculously durable.

Yeah ork surgery consists of just stitching stuff in place sn the rest grows back..... even a spacemarine would die from ork "treatment". Orks are not capable of the delicacy of human surgery and im pretty sure the local mek would have looted all the armour and whatnot from the SM before the dok could ressurect

Arrrg, oh well, back to the drawing board. How about captured some herectic Fabius Bile equivilant that fixes marines and knows how to fix primarchs but has been lobotomized so he just has the skill but none of the personality (like a servitor) and people fight over him as a prize while the inquisition try to destroy him, some of the inquisition want to bring back horus and some want to heal like Guliman or something like that?

but in the end he heals himself and becomes typical insane CSM and everyone kills him?

more believable plot? (I really wanted to do something with orks though but I guess it was too far fetched)

Sinister Chaos Marine

I don't know how feasable it would be to create a character that can bring the Primarchs or the Emperor back...
Certainly, even if a mad corrupt traitor of the inquisition wanted to resurrect Horus it would be impossible as his mind and soul was destroyed by the Emperor and his body destroyed by Abaddon.

Maybe he fixes up a marine who then wants him to heal the Chapter Master or some-such thing??
Where would a creature/ character like that come from??
Where would the character have learned to heal these injuries?? - if it is innate perhaps the inquisition see it as heretical and are trying to destroy it before the Space Marine Chapter is healed - which the inquisitor would believe was actually a chaos trick or something - while a small tactical squad tries to regroup with their chapter with this thing in tow???????

Sorry if it seems a bit harsh, I like the idea but I'm only playing devil's advocate

I figured that it'd just be a plot device and that in typical grimdarkness, he'd never actually get anywhere close to a primarch or the emperor, or if he does, it'd be to a daemon prince of a primarch that thinks about it for a bit and then would destroy this guy that can make him mortal and thus vulnerable.

As to where he'd get his powers from... I'm working on that lol, maybe it was a freak accident by fabius bile while experimenting on some geneseed and somehow psyker powers were released and it allowed the guy to steal the secret from Tzeentch who apparently knows all or nothing as the case may be. Maybe got it from Dorthy that went through the crystal labrynth? How'd he then turn into a servator would be still up in the air atm, maybe release that information a bit later when he cures himself? or mabye he breaks himself trying to see if he'd be able to fix it?
