This will be our first food drive event at All Things Fun ! for the 40K community. The tournament is scheduled for three rounds using the standard 6E ruleset, with pre determined missions.
Registration begins at 10:00 AM, and dice start rolling at 11:00 AM. The entry fee for the event is $10.00 plus a donation of ten canned and / or boxed non-perishable food items.
Players are allowed, and encouraged, to donate additional food items - as each will be exchanged for Event Coins (ECs) that can be used to unlock certain game effects as described below. At a bare minimum, each donated food item is worth 1 EC however larger canned / boxed items will be worth more coins. Likewise, a variety of donated items can earn you additional coins.
= Pre Event ( List Building ) Effects =
When players write their lists they should clearly mark when ECs are used, and ensure they bring enough canned / boxed items to cover the selections made. In the case of the two Dedicated Transport options, the donation covers only the standard codex entry - if players would like to include upgrades / options then they must spend the appropriate number of points when making their lists. As an example, an Eldar player gives a unit of Storm Guardians a CSM Rhino (3ECs) and upgrades the vehicle with Destroyer Blades and a Havoc Launcher (27pts) then lastly gives the transport the SR: Assault Vehicle (4ECs).
Players may increase the nomal FOC allowance of any type by spending ECs, from Canned Spam only !!! The cost indicated is for each time this option is used, as such if a player wants to add three additional FOC: Elite slots then he would need to spend 6 (spam) ECs.
01 (spam) ECs = FOC +1 Troops
02 (spam) ECs = FOC +1 Elite
02 (spam) ECs = FOC +1 Fast Attack
02 (spam) ECs = FOC +1 Heavy Support
05 (spam) ECs = FOC +1 HQ
02 ECs = nominated Psyker adds +1 to his or her Mastery Level
05 ECs = nominated non-Psyker character becomes a Mastery Level 1 Psyker
The two options listed above may be combined, so that as an example a Dark Eldar Hekatrix could be a Mastery Level 2 Psyker (7ECs). Non-Psyker characters that become Psykers using the option above manifest their power(s) from any of the Psychic Disciplines in the core rules.
03 ECs = give any unit a Dedicated Transport: SM / CSM Rhino
10 ECs = give any unit a Dedicated Transport: SM / CSM Land Raider
All normal rules and restrictions for these transports remain effect, meaning you cannot have Terminators embark in a Rhino for example.
10 ECs = nominated Dedicated Transport gains the SR: Assault Vehicle
50 ECs = select any other single model HQ, and add it to your army
- the model is considered to be friendly for all intents and purposes
- replace any army specific wording so that it relates to your army
- the model may be your Warlord if normal conditions are met
- the model does not occupy an FOC slot but otherwise counts as an HQ
- regardless of base, options, upgrades, etc this model is reduced to zero points

02 ECs = reroll #2 per game
03 ECs = reroll #3 per game
04 ECs = reroll #4 per game
05 ECs = reroll #5 per game
- any one of 'your' die rolls can be rerolled at the cost of the coins listed above. This can include for example Seize The Initiative, an attack roll, or a Leadership test (both dice could be rerolled at the cost of three coins - as your 1st and 2nd reroll of the game. Things like Night Fight and Game Length are not 'your' roll so as such they cannot be rerolled.

- regarding the CAI Saves above, coins can be spent at any time the nominated model / unit would be required to take saves and the benefit remains in effect until the end of the phase in which it was used. Thus by example, a nominated model / unit that used this option in the enemy's Shooting Phase would automatically pass all applicable saves until the end of that phase.
