Subject: Anyone use pure ravenwing?

So for my greyknights I was looking at adding some allies (they will be the start of my next army) so managed to narrow it down to dark angels or necrons, as none of those armies are played in my gaming group.
I know that deathwing is probably the best build, however I'm quite keen to build a more ravenwing style army. So is there anyone out there that uses ravenwing to good effect? I'm not looking to be cheese strong, I have my gk's for that, however I don't want something that can be curb stomped every game.
The other question is, is vanilla marines a better option for an all bike army? If yes then I will look at something else until the new DA codex drops.
Cheers
Tui

C:SM tend to do better marine bike armies. They are just cheaper than Ravenwing for the same thing.
If you want to, just paint them as ravenwing as use them as C:SM, that way when the new DA codex gets the famous "Matt Ward Bump", you can bring an OP bike army by switching them back to ravenwing.

As a dark angels player I agree with the above, ravenwing are overpriced and always tend to underperform, and to make them special at all you need to take a overpriced IC (MothRW) who really isnt that gd and even then they just get a little more expensive and not significantly better (not enough to warrant the cost). In small amounts yes ravenwing can be useful and do have there benefits, but as a whole bike army vanilla marines do it better for cheaper.

Yeah, the next thing I was going to ask was is master of the ravenwing any good, AV14 seems cool but only 2 hull points kind of kills it.

Agreed as well, but DA should get new codex by the end of this year or so, so that should help. Right now Ravenwing is nothing special.
