My friend an i usually play 1000 pt objective games (me as space marines and he plays necrons). But he seems to have the upper hand in firepower and my only defence is my mobility.
I tend to use bikes land speeders and drop pods to make quick assults in hopes that i can controll the objectives before he can get to them.
I need a way to hold my own once i get there and am open to any sugestions you may have.

If your going in for assault, make sure you hit hard on the charge. Necrons have to pass morale before they can attempt to get back up, if they break they stay down.

A chaplain on a bike will trash crons. Might also consider a bike captain.

Use your speed and range, crons are slow and limited to 2' shooting.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.
