The Void

I... it is not often that I am struck numb by a movie, no a film, and one of the first I've seen in a very long time. From start to finish the haunting notes the Cloud Atlas Sextant, a gorgeous piece of music for piano accompanies you through a fantastic narrative across time and human emotion. I can't say enough good things about this movie and it's certainly not what I walked in expecting. From a technical stand point it's a master piece, an incredible score and what has to be the best costuming and make up team ever assembled for a single film come together with an all star cast each member of which delivers a fantastic performance across each of the many many roles they play through out the course of the movie. The story can be a bit hard to follow at times, and the meaning within each layer and facet of film is simply incredible

Bottom line: Go see Cloud Atlas.

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

It looks really interesting, and I'd definitely like to see it. The Wachowski's have made a lot of garbage (V for Vendetta and the Matrix sequels still leave visible wounds), but this looks too interesting to pass up.
