I've read the rules for the alliances, and the fleet im most interested in is the RSN, but im confused, can i take them as there own fleet or do they have to be a support fleet which i have to take with one of the main 3 forces? because im going to be honest, apart from them the only other ships i like (despite the carriers) are the terran alliance (aka the bad guys!) and they dont quite mix :3

Yes you can take them as a stand alone fleet without any other races ships.

To elaborate on Commodore Jones' answer the Rense System Navy can be taken as a stand alone fleet if using the Zenian League Support Fleet rules.
