Hey there! Recently i took on a commision from a friend to paint his Grey Knights. I really didn't want them to look like most other gks out there so i am trying to make them look as dirty and beat up as possible. I have also been thinking about possibly starting an Iron warriors army someday so i decided to use this as my change to work on my bare metal technique.

So far is have one squad pretty much done but they are kind of the test models to get the basics down. I will go back and change a few things on them when i am done with all the models in this batch so they all pretty close in looks.

Here are the next generations using a slightly different method.

I like them, well painted, and it'd be nice to see the GKs actually doing some work for once.
The only thing I would say, and this may be a result of the picture more than anything, the glow on the eyes makes it look like they're wearing glasses. It needs fading a bit.

"How do you feel when you have killed a man?"
"Quite jolly, what about you?"
Sir Richard Burton, when asked by a disapproving doctor.

I suppose the surprise can be spoiled, but still, nobody is paying for the surprise.

Like any responsible adult I have a Five Year Plan. It culminates in me becoming Batman.

The eyes and ammo are a mixture of Vallejo air color light sea blue and platinum with a wash of french blue.
The swords are airbrushed.
