Making a green black deck for standard play. It's on a budget, and if I can trade something for expensive rares it would probably be for a woodland cemetery or overgrown tomb.

Here it goes:

Land 24
4 evolving wilds
4 golgathi guildgates
10 forests
6 swamps

Green speed element
Somberwald Sage *4
Elvish visionary *3
Borderland ranger *3
Caravan vigil *1
Seek the Horizon *1

Cheap and dirty black commons to buy me time
Tragic slip *4
Seductive allure *2

Cheap 4 mana large monsters
Desecration demon *4
Deadbridge Goliath *4

Draw more cards, hoping for synergy with cheap large creatures
Triumph of might *4

Large beat sticks
Wolfir silverheart *2
Griselbrand *1
Neferox *1

Not the most competitive deck in the world, but it's going to be inexpensive and I think it can play with the big boys.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

If you're looking for some good cards with synergy, look at the new Ravnica little starter for green/black. it's a 60 card deck with 2 boosters in it for like 15 bucks. And if you can get your hands on a pre-release box from Ravnica, they're being sold at my flgs for like 25... That's 40 bucks right there. And that's pretty much all I used for the basis of my Rakdos deck and it hasn't lost yet, admittedly I don't play in tournaments, so idk how competitive it is.
