what is effective against them?

and this is a nub question but is acute senses the same as scout special rule? and counterattack- does that only count as h2h or shooting too? sorry read the codex not the rules.

Well obviously you are gonna want to read the core rules.

As for space wolves anything aside from blood/sky/swift claws should be good. The space wolf codex is considered a fair amount more powerful than the DA one. What units does your friend run?

Depends, Dark Angels can run a diverse amount of lists, ranging from all bikes, terminator Deathwing, lots of foot marines. I would stick with a TAC list built around any units you like that lack the word claw. Grey Hunters are phenomenal and should handle DA's buisness en masse. You have options, run what you want, it will likely beat out DA's.

thanks, I tried to peal out what my buddy is building but all the mentions is they got good bikes and great terminators. so i think he is going to build a fast group and a heavy group.
How come everyone is against claws,sky,and blood? isn't that their special squads?

It's not that Bloodclaws are bad per se, it's that they're the same cost as Grey Hunters, one of the best Troops choices in the game.

Claw-units are the newest recruits that aren't full marines yet, Long Fangs, Wolf Guard and Wolf Scouts are the Elites.

As said above, they cost way too much, they have bad WS and BS, and their special charge rule kinda sucks.

Grey hunters have access to bolters as well as the bp/ccw, plasma/melta guns, and the wolf standard which is extremely good.

If you start your build with 2 squads of 10 wolf guard with 2x plasma gun and wolf standard, possibly with an attached wolf guard too, you will be on the right track for an all comers list.
