Friend's trying to build his British forces, and came across this discrepancy. Hopefully I can keep it vague on rules while explaining the situation

British Breaching Groups Special Rule "Job Done" section titled "DD Armoured Platoon" states that you can exchange the Engi teams with an Independent Armoured Platoon of Sherman Vs and a Firefly on page 121. However, the Independent Armoured Platoon is located on page 50, while the DD Armoured Platoon is on page 121. The Platoon load out description matches the Independent platoon more exactly than the DD platoon, but both apply. Am I safe to assume they meant to reference the Independent Armoured Platoon, and not the DD Armoured Platoon? The name and description match the Independent, but the subtitle and page are for the DD, and the description can be made to fit.

To add to that
The DD Armoured Platoon tells you to select Sherman IIIs or Vs, however the DD Shermans are a different unit with different rules. My friend dug around, and found this page that says basic 75mm Shermans can be made to DD Shermans if they stay basic. Is it optional to make them DD Shermans for that choice? Can you choose not to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
