How would the trygon prime be if you want it in reserves with the prime upgrade. With 12 shots you should get some hits with his gun, perhaps moving a fist or a plasgun?

It struck me that if they come in on turn 2, perhaps they get only shot one turn before they need toc harge`?

Yeah, it's a longshot, but you might as well put the shots onto a good model if you are taking a Prime anyway. I've found that the drawback of getting sucked into a challenge is pretty bad compared to a normal prime, so if you have the chance to kill sarge I would go that route.

12 shots is about 6 hits, of which 2 might be precision. That's a decent chance to hit a key model, and if you get lucky and roll 3-4 sixes your odds should go way up. I wouldn't want to rely on killing something though.

Something to keep in mind, if they deploy so that a special weapon is near one side of the unit, you have good odds to take that out since you can deep strike and shoot from that direction.

It's a good idea to utilize those precision shots. If you can take out the Sargent in a group you can clean up the rest in the assault in stead of being dragged into a challenge. Or picking out a melta gun is better than nothing.

I always seem to forget about my precision shots and fear when it comes to using my MCs.
