My topic says it all, I want to know where I can find the rules for a campaign I wanted to play with my wife and friends. I was going to buy the crusade of fire book but now it is unavailable so what can I do?

3rd and 4th ed rulebooks.
You can find the relevant bits online, but I can't post here where to find them.

3rd ed had a much better explanation and example section on it than 4th and the current lot just tell you to buy their stuff instead of thinking stuff up for yourself.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I am tracking with the campaighn rules that are in the 5th edition core rule book. I actually really like them the veteran rules are really cool but just doesent seem to be enough. I entirely intend to buy the Planetary empires set but not sure if there are even any rules in there. What I was thinking so far was with every battle an individual wins he gets to roll on an army perk table. This is what I have so far.

d1-player may take one extra warlord perk
d2-Player may deepstrike more than half his army
d3-player may decrease minimum troop requirement by one
d4-player may take another slotted unit as troop
d5-player may double force org at 1500 pts
d6- player can permanently increase army size by 100 pts

My goal is that before each battle the playter who won the last battle rolls on this chart and for that battle he gets that perk unless you roll a 6 and that perk is permament fot the entire campaign. I still feel like it is missing something. I was also thinking after you win soo many battle or catch certain strategic points that you get to have permament perks like increase army size and wht not. Any ideas will be appreciated I want to start playing campaigns but just havent hatched out the rules. Also if there are expansions you think I should buy like Apoc, cities of death, battle missions or planetstrike let me know. Like i said any ideas are appreciated.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

I would get some of the existing GW campaign rules and then tweak them to suit you. They arn't going to be perfect for your group.

I find its more fun to write something up specifically for the group you are playing with. Makes it more personal and engaging.
