Now it's apparent orks don't have snipers.
Allies though, the options are as far as I think:
Space Marines Tellion and Scouts.
Eldar for the rangers
Tau for pathfinders and general long range.
What do you think is the best?

Well, you don't want Tau for the pathfinders. Markerlights are awesome with a whole Tau army, but as allies, not worth it.

Christ, where do you buy your turnips? |

Double plus good

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time. |

I recommend Lobbas.
They're cheap, barrage (thus being "snipers"), and you can get 9 of them.

For cheap even. Not to mention 48 inch range.

I concur with Dr. What and Kingcracker about lobbas, their being barrage makes them better snipers than snipers since they hit the intended model on third of the time (with a reroll if you have a handy ammo grot) plus maybe some side casualties.
My first experience with lobbas was me fielding two of them as an afterthought support unit, while my blob of infantry plus a battlewagon advanced against fully decked noise marines.
His feel no pain rolls were dependent on one marine (per squad) holding an icon. I aimed the lobbas there and aimed well, the few wounds I caused were mostly saved but -one- didn't. So that squad suddenly lost feel no pain. Next round I repeated the stunt against his noiseblaster. Third round I scattered and almost killed one of my grots, he rolled 1 on his toughness. Hahaha!
I didn't cause -much- casualties with two lobbas in that game. But they were high value targets, so I both made up more than the 56 points of that lobba crew and scrapped some of his force multipliers
