Hey guys,

I wanted to get some feedback on these Imperial Guard Sabre Defense Platforms I have made. I run a Traitor Guard force that worships Nurgle but I keep the "chaotic" elements toned down. Usually no spikes, but instead I paint on markings and blood spatter.

I will chip at them and add battle damage as well. Hopefully that will wear them down a bit, maybe some chains as well. I might not put too much gore on these though, since they're Artillery in the backfield.

Perfectly acceptable! Not sure why stationary artillery platforms would carry spare track segments but it's thicker armour at the end of the day, eh?

What are you using for the "legs"?

Good work. I think they will work very well and be perfectly fine as chaos Guardsmen.

Your colour scheme sounds cool too, very gritty.

The legs are from Tarantula sentry guns I've had for a while. Now I am using the TL Heavy Bolters for Immolators and the legs are the exact legs for Sabres. I have one more set of legs but its missing the fourth leg :( As for the tank tracks, my plastic card abilities are not perfect so I figured that the tracks would look like improvised armor for that 3+ and would also give them more definition.

Tank tracks are great improvised armor, they look really cool.

Hey guys,

Just an update here. I repaired the third set of legs I had. It doesn't look pretty but it'll be covered by the Sabre platform and should look good enough when painted.

Also, I've made two more gunner seats with my last pair of Valkyire pilots. This time I wanted something other than the lascannons and I wanted to include the control panels from the Valkyrie cockpit as well.

For this pair, I built them to fit magnetized weapons. I took a spare Quad gun apart and magnetized it, and I also made twin-linked Heavy Bolters from a pair of vehicle HBs and a pair of Heavy Weapon squad HBs. They are slightly different in size. What do you guys think? I have considered breaking them apart and making it so both pairs have one larger HB above (or below?) a smaller HB. What do?

This weekend I will be picking up some chain and another wooden disc to make the third platform. I'll post those improvements up then. Any comment or criticism is appreciated!
