Whos got 40K merch? Who likes to score those one-offs from EBay, or even make their own?

Ive got this badboy:

Unfortunately most offerings arent that great. Im really looking into making my own stuff, for my own collection. Its pretty sad that GW wont get into it but hey, it's their loss. One idea Im probably pursuing next is hitting up one of the few custom hat sites Ive been to. Working up a nice Aquila hat with the Space Marine "NBA" style red white and blue logo on the back. Another idea Im toying with is a Dickies-style workshirt with appropriate logos, big Aquila on the back perhaps. Hoodies? Tis the season!

Whos got goodies?

I had a design I drew up but never got around to scanning it or cleaning it up for a t-shirt.

I wanted to spoof the old communist posters from the 50s and 60s, and have a tau, ork and nid gaunt raising their fists in the air with a slogan like "xenos unite, push back the human menace!"

I agree, and so does my gaming group. We dont understand why GW just DOESNT do things like this. Even if it were a stupid gimmicky key chain, you KNOW people would buy them just because of what it is. I would. Ork key chain? Yes. So good luck and that shirt looks great BTW

Thanks! Yknow, everywhere I go I notice people glancing down and reading it (now I know what its like to have breasts!). Ive had quite a few people ask what it is. And if they thought it looked/sounded cool, Im sure they went home and Googled it. And Ive had two people recognize it (walking down the street and a passing driver yelled FOR THE EMPRAAAHHHH!!! What an awesome feeling).

You know what that is folks? BRAND RECOGNITION. And I have no problem dumping the money and making myyself professional-looking one-offs. Because I enjoy the product, I love the imagery, and I like doing GW's job for them since they seem incapable.

GW did used to do stuff like this. Over the years they've done belt buckles, t-shirts, key chains and all sort of accessories and apparel. I've got a space wolves t-shirt with the original Jes Goodwin artwork for Leman Russ with Freki and Geri, that must be 20 years old or so. Presumably they stopped for sound commercial reasons - I imagine they didn't make enough money to be worth the effort.

Seriously, I don't understand why GW won't start up on clothing. Seems like there's boatloads of money to be made. Nerds love shirts that have what they play on them, look at J!NX.

That was 20 years ago. With internet sales Im sure they would move plenty of units.

The Black Library sold shirts through their website for a while as well. They wound up clearing them all out and dropping the range.
