First of all:
1 - Is it worth it?
2 - How big are the pieces?

Thanks!

Probably work

I can speak for the Streets, but I got the Dungeon Rise set, which is pretty nice looking. I don't have it together yet (need clips), but I think the grid on it is 1".

From the looks of product pictures, the streets are something I could see myself buying in the future.

I own Streets, Dungeon Essentials and the Ruins sets...

in answer to your questions:
1) Yes and No. Are you expecting to make a Malifaux board out of terraclips? If the question is no, then it's worth it imo, but I'd go with Buildings of Malifaux instead. If you expect to build a board, then you're going to need 3 sets just to get the 6 inch square pieces for the basis of the board, by that point you'll have plenty of other pieces to make sweet bridges, towers, gazebo type places, etc... But that's 150 dollars, plus the cost of clips (another 18 per pack and you need at least 1 pack of clips per box of terrain to ensure you have all the clips you need. In that case, it's not worth it imo.

2) I've stretched the Streets of Malifaux box to give me a 2ft by 2.5ft play area. But that required me to use the half and quarter size pieces to build some of the remaining squares that I needed...

If you're looking at building a "city board" and you're dead set on it (I love my terraclips, but they're kind of a pain), I'd buy 2 sets of the Streets and use those to populate the base pieces of the board until you get 3x3 or however much you need, and then build the Buildings of Malifaux, and just set them on top of the streets.

Note: This advice is given based on OP using it to play Malifaux.

Cool, thanks.

I was planning on using it to play LOTR. I wanted a city board. The sets seemed like a good bet.

Thanks for the help!

No problem! I don't know what size of table LotR uses, so I hope you're not spending a bunch of money to get like a 6x4 board.

The sets look nice and will really spice up a table. It can be costly to fill a table as you will need several sets but if you were to fill a table with plastic/resin terrain it would cost even more and building your own terrain would be very time consuming and cost just as much as buying the Terraclips.

All in all I would say it is worth it I use that companies products for GW games, my D&D games and other games like Infinity and it makes my boards look awesome.
