I just finished up my first Hellion, testing out my army's color scheme.

I really need more practice painting Dark Eldar skin, I know. Anything else I can improve on, as a beginning painter?

At this point the best you can do is work on your basics, getting clean layers going such as on the skin, etc. You might also consider edge lining in a non metallic color.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?

You might want to do something with the black clothing to bring out a little more detail. For example, on my blacks I like to use a dark grey (I use Eshin Grey) and give it layers of Nuln Oil to darken it rather than using pure black since it allows you to see more of the shading and detail.

I like the highlighting you did on the hair and I think it looks good overall especially for a beginner.
