Torture Victim in the Bowels of the Rock

After years of being tangentially aware of wargaming and 40k, I finally decided to take the plunge and enter the hobby. I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and reading this and other forums over the past weeks, so I've gotten a taste for the strategic depth 40k offers, but right now my main interest is in the hobby side of things. I love the eldar designs, and my first set was a four pack of guardians I got last week. Though my skills need a lot of work, painting them up was the most fun I've had in a very long time. I purchased guardians because they were cheap and I loved the design, unfortunately they seem like a very poor choice within the eldar lineup. Now that I've got the bug, I plan on constructing an actual army, and have gotten a copy of the sixth ed. rule book. I really enjoy the eldar fluff I've encountered and hope that I'll have an excellent space elf force before too long. I'm here to learn, and any advice from other eldar players regarding list construction would be really appreciated. DakkaDakka seems like an awesome place, it helped me find an amazing new hobby!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
