At 15mm scale most things in the game are so small its a matter of a base color and a wash. Your not going to see detail on infantry and the like. Tanks and planes are a bit bigger but again the scale doesn't really lend itself to detail.

Personally I couldn't see a reason to commission these out. but to each his own.

Actually it is mostly people who don't have the time or the eye sight to paint 100+ 15mm miniatures. Also the assembling and basing is a big part of the price of painting FOW. It may take about 1-2 hours to sort out and base a FOW company box.

I do not get as many people who want vehicles painted unless they are have Camo. American, British, and Soviet vehicles are pretty easy to paint but the assembly may be a bit fiddly.
