So I am moving to Seattle pretty soon here, and I am curious as to where the best gaming is, I am not a tournament player so I am more drawn to good casual gaming, I know there are a bunch of GW's and the battle bunker, are they any good? what about LGS's are any of them FLGS's?

any other info that could help would be awesome, and if you can through in info on where card-flippers play for my best friend you would be an awesome person.

thanks a ton.

You may use anything I post, just remember to give me credit if used somewhere else.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the great Northwest (even though you are not here yet).

As far Seattle goes I know there are quite a few FLGS in the area but I don't really know from personal experience seeing as I live further north in Bellingham. But I would encourage you to take a look around when you get here I'm sure you will find a great place to play.

Oh yeah if you ever come to Bellingham Message me and maybe we can meet up for a game.

And once again welcome to WA.

There's a good GW store in Kent, relatively large (6 tables) with a good community. There's also the Battle Bunker in Factoria (a few miles east of Seattle). The bunker has monthly 40k and Fantasy tournaments.

I gave up the card flipping games a while ago, but a great store for that (and just about any other type of gaming) is Card Kingdom in Seattle.

Do you know where in Seattle you're moving to?

"Because 6th edition is the ruleset that 40k fans deserve, but not the one they need right now... and so we'll argue over minutia... because GW can take it... because faqs and erratas require effort and money... they remain a silent rule maker, a neglectful protector... a Space Marine fanboy..."

The two GW stores are all right but if you're looking for non-GW products then go to Card Kingdom if you're on the West Side (of Lake Washington) or Games and Gizmos on the East Side. They both carry Vallejo paints and Army Painter products and others too. Since Privateer Press is local to us (they're in Bellevue), I've found a lot of tabletop players are more into Warmachine/Hordes but there are still a few GW game players. Blick is a good store for some art supplies and there's an Utrecht in Seattle as well. Let me know if you want to meet up at any of the game stores for a game!

I would also recommend ordofanaticus.com
It is a local board for the Pacific Northwest.

I have the same username there if you need anything.

I'm in Seattle and I've been having a heck of a time getting a 40k game. I'd love to get a club or group started. Ive been going to Card Kingdom on Sundays but I usually cant find a game.

Try going to one of the GW stores in the area. You should be able to find a game at the Bunker in Factoria (only a few miles outside of Seattle). The GW store in Kent has 6 tables to play on and gets pretty crowded on most evenings and weekends.

There don't seem to be many non-GW places to play in the greater Seattle area, but the GW stores are pretty good places to play.

@busbina: I would highly recommend the same thing I told the OP, go to ordofanaticus.com and post there. You're going to get a lot more local players reading your post.
