A big complaint with the Strategy Battle game was that it felt too small. War of the Ring also kind of failed because 28mm big battles means you can't quite have enough models to fully fill a large battle like Minas Tirith.

So here my house rules for using the SBG rules in 6mm Warmaster-style battles!

The rules are basically the same as the SBG's. There are a few changes however:
- Instead of buying one model, you buy a company. Captains are command companies and have a banner in these companies.
- Warband rules still apply. You may have up to 24 companies in an infantry warband and 12 companies in a cavalry warband. No mixing infantry and cavalry! Each company must either be in base contact or within 2" of another company in the same warband.
- Instead of testing for courage across the whole force, you test for the warband - if half the warband companies have been killed, test for courage. If the command company fails its courage test, another company flees.
- Line of sight is also slightly different. You draw a straight line from the company's closest model to the target's closest model. If the line is unbroken, the target can be seen.
- Any model not in base contact with the command company or another model in base contact with the command company must take a courage check. If it fails, then the company may not do anything that turn.
- The heroic actions of a command company affect the whole warband.
- There should be a general's company. This chap leads the whole force. Double his will, and double his might.
- His heroic actions affect his warband plus the warbands within 8" of his company.
- Cavalry just die when they lose a wound, no thrown riders or anything like that.
- Jumping and Climbing is not permitted.
- Finally, all measurements are halved.

All other rules apply.

Baccus does a nice range of 6mm stuff.

What do you think?

"Jumping and Climbing is not permitted."

This bothers me. As I just posted on your other thread, one of the main perks of the moria goblins is the whole wall climbing thing

Extra rule:
- If your profile has special rules for climbing, you are allowed to climb as normal.
