I used to take 4-6 whip coils and maybe a pistol for wound allocation shenanigans and the I1 in combat back in 5th.

In sixth I no longer need the pistol because of look sir shenanigans but then that got FAQ'd.

Anymore when I take wraiths I only take 1 or 2 whip coils and use them strictly to lock down nasty characters pre-challenge/combat.

The pistols for 5 points at S6 always make me think but never seem to make it.

The transdimensional beamer has always been unusable because its a heavy class weapon.

Anyone equip their wraiths with much more than stock?

I think the lack of responses may stem from the fact that the optimal Wraith load out is already well established: 1 Whip Coil for every 2 Wraiths. (3 for 5/6 is the norm).
An extra Caster is sometimes added if you've got a spare five points and nothing else to spend it on.
Beamers are rarely a good idea.

Yep, put whip coils on at minimum half the squad. (i usually put them on all of them, cuts down on enemy tactical options for CCing them)

done.

The pistols and other wargear are for the most part situational at best and as such should rarely be considered unless you just have to add 5 points or something to meet a requisition point total.
