Does anyone have/use the shire folk? I see there are hobbit archers and militia, seems kind of cool. Also is there anywhere online to view the stats of the miniatures? I see you can order all the books but each book is $30...

Are you serious? I was just looking for forum rules and couldn't find any. Gw posts some unit stats on the site, why couldn't they be discussed here?

I thought you referred to gaining access to source books etc. by asking for scans / pdfs - and that's forbidden.

Iirc, you are not allowed to post individual profiles / stats anywhere on dakka. GW's law squad has been pressuring dakka quite a lot recently, e.g. now not longer allowing pictures of unreleased GW stuff.

I play Hobbits, their stats or points haven't changed, i have the old scouring of the shire book, got some great terrain ideas
the archers are top of the game, and the entire army can throw rocks, so your whole army can shoot, no other army can do that.
On the downside, your army is very expensive, money wise, all metal, you will need a LOT of models, if you are keeping it all hobbits, and they are weak so don't expect to win many combats unless you swarm everything.

Gw doesn't allow the stats to be posted. This going to be an extremely expensive army, Say you had a 500 pts list with around 65 hobbits I've written a list that has about this many I calculated the cost and it would come to around £150 this is a LOT more than any other The Hobbit/LOTR army.I would recommend unless you are prepared to spend that amount of money that you take them as allies with another force to bump up the numbers of your army. A 500 point list could be comprised of say 300 points of rohan and 200 points of hobbits(this should get you around 3 warbands full). Hope this helps no offence intended.
