Not sure if thsi should be Tactics or Army lists....it's a little of both tbh.

I am trying to write a list for a league some friends and i are doing (just friednly among 4 or 5 of us).

You have a 2500 point list and you have to draw you lists for smaller games from this "master" list. With this in mind i am trying to write a balanced 2500 point list that will give me decent options for smaller games as well.

I have included a D-Lord as I nearly always field a squad of Wraiths in games of 1500 and up. But for the 2000-2500 point games i thought a court might be handy to have as well.

So my options are (based on the models i have):

Codex Overlord (potentially cheaper and can have scythe, MSS etc etc)
Imhotek (the stom coudl be good for a larger game)
Anrakyr (love the though of takign over enemy tanks and buffing immortals for free)
Zahndrekh (lots of army buffifn stuff and a good buffer for a warriror blob with 2+/3++/4+++

If it helps, heres' the 2500 point list i was planning on running (pointed up with Zahndrekh at the moment):

Spoiler:

Zahndrekh
D-lord (Scythe, MSS, Weave)

Lord - Scythe, Weave, MSS, Orb
DestrucTek - Lance, Pulse
DestrucTek - Lance
StormTek - Staff, Field

15 Warriors
15 Warriors
10 Warriors
5 Warriors - Ghost Ark
10 Tesla Immortals

6 Wraiths - 4 whip coils
5 Scarabs
5 Scarabs
4 Destroyers - 2 Heavy

Anni Barge
Anni Barge
2 Tomb Spiders
Doomscythe

You've got a Storm-tek, but no way to get him into range safely/efficiently... might want to see if you can rectify that.
Also, a single Scythe is not going to last long. Consider taking one of two more.

I've only got one. Not had it that long to be honest with you. i've tried it as a Nightscythe and it was OK...i'm now testing it as a doomscythe to see which one i prefer.

Luckily flyers aren't all that pervasive in my local gamign group (we each have one for our armies right now) so flyer spam or loads of anti-air isn't required just yet.

Zandrekh. His bonus abilities are 5 points and are absolutely amazing. Tank hunter on a Warrior blob is fun. Buff 1 squad to 20 Warriors though to make the orb really effective.

Ok. Since i only have as single flyer do you think i woudl be better off putting the StormTek and some warriors in that and dropping them in to wreck armoured face? or drop the Stormtek completely and use the Doomscythe as anti-tank?

I can see the appeal of the StorkTek getting up close and personal but as soon as he takes out one target he is goign to be a priority....maybe just him and 5 warriors as a kind of suicide squad?

Edit:
This is actually tempting as one of my friends has just finished his Death Company Contemptor and it scares the feth out of me.

Do you only have the one tek? 60 points gets you a veil tek. Run double courts, and you can have your veil cart the storm guy around with whatever troops you choose.

I have 4 "cryptek" models (converted OOP Pariahs). I have never tried using the VeilTek tbh as i have a strong distrust of anything that involved Deep Striking.

Dont think I have ever had a Deep Strike land on target.

Also, with the destoryer lord to support the Wraiths/Destroyers i can't double Court.
