Is it just me or is
GW bringing out new Dark Angels models that look like they are super strong and possibly putting the game more in their favour? I have never played with Dark Angels and this is only an observation.
Given that
DA were near the bottom of the codices prior to their update (they made fine allies but a mediocre core army, as pretty much everything they could do could be done either better or more cheaply by either
GK or
SM), then yeah, unless the
DA codex is completely awful they will be better off on the table than they used to be (Vetock would have to really drop the ball if he managed to make the new
DA codex WORSE than either
BT or Eldar). As for the models looking like they are powerful... yeah, most
40k models don't look like they are supposed to be weak.
However, as we have no idea what the points cost or special rules a lot of the models are going to have, we have no idea whether or not codex creep will continue. So until somebody gets their hands on a copy of the codex, any speculation is just going to be that, pointless speculation (as a note, looking at the stats for the posted models, the only thing that MIGHT be over-powered are the Dark Talon/Nephilim Fighter, as it is unlikely that the Termis will cost less than 40ppm and no matter how good the Vengeance is, it will still be
AV 10 meaning that it dies to bolter fire).
