I'm just checking that they have such as my CSM warband was based off a successor chapter's 8th company and I call them the Plague Templars but if they don't have successors I'm going to need to change the back story

Technically anyone can have successors since their geneseed is sent back to Mars for processing regularly in the tithe. I think there may be a few exceptions, but for the most part everyone has successors (just most of them go unnamed)

I'd modify the fluff anyway though; it feels unlikely in the extreme that a successor Chapter of the Black Templars would have structured companies, considering the entire schtick of the Black Templars is that they're one massive blob of marines.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

The only successors i know of are the red, and white templars, and even those aren't definite links. however there is always room to make your own successor

just a note, Black templars don't operate in rigid companies, initiates will just fight with who they know in the chapter, the Templars are a very large chapter so it wouldn't be impossible for some of them to fall, perhaps your plague templars could be a crusade that went rogue

what sort of colour scheme have you thought up?

Black Templars? Going rogue? What is this madness? Next thing you know the Emperor will join ranks with the Daemons

As for the OP, the Black Templars don't really have any officially confirmed successor chapters.

Of course it would never happen with a true Templar, but there is always room for a little fanfiction, even if it is herectical

As this is all the BT are, just have them be a Fists successor that functions similar to the BT.

This has come up before, and I still think that officially a successor chapter cannot have successor chapters. Any Black Templar 'successor' would be referred as Imperial Fists successor chapter, as that is the original source of the geneseed.

Anyone can turn traitor, even the Templar's. Such belief in the Emperor was what helped to corrupt the Word Bearers, which can be shattered.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.
