Guardsman with Flashlight

Just got a Phoenix Bomber from forgeworld, it came with the new style flying base but no method of attaching it to the model.

What i'm wondering is there lots of people out there with a similar problem... Because i'm thinking of scratch building a new piece (that looks Eldary) to fit onto the existing models that could be reproduced.

Wolf Guard Bodyguard in Terminator Armor

I got my brother inlaw a phoenix for his birthday. We ended up fitting a magnet to the base and in the hole.

However if we were to do it again, I would fit a small nut into the hull and use a threaded rod.
