Hey guys - I've got another batrep up on the blog.

C took his Fallshirmjagers again, while I went with a confident trained British rifles. We rolled up Fighting Withdrawal, and C decided to attack, meaning that my 9 platoon strong force would be severely weakened by the end of the game, even without German-inflicted casualties.

As you can see from the first picture, I had my infantry platoons take up positions in the small village, the woods, and in the small villa on the far side.

C pushed aggressively on the left and right, with his Pak 40's sniping my own AT guns out of cover. I also had to watch both my armor platoons get pounded into scrap metal in order to keep C's pair of Tigers from bursting through my right.

Seriously - worst ambush ever.

Eventually, however, I managed to get an upper-hand over the Germans, (semi-vindictively) pulling the objectives from the left and right flanks were C had the best chance of getting through.

After a botched assault, I had C's company commander on the run, and I had made enough platoons return to force a company command check. He decided to concede the game, but with 3 off my own platoons forced off or completely destroyed, it was a 4-3 victory (We then, thanks to our buddy Mr. Daniels, found out just how terrible C is at driving in Mario Kart ).

I think my favourite picture is the one with the base of a bottle of Whiskey in it? You know your in for a good night when you have everything set and a Bottle of something good...

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Haha! Yup - a bottle of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Whiskey. I received it as a 21st birthday gift back in September, and was looking for an excuse to finish up the second half of the bottle.
