So what is a better use of 75 points

a scout squad of 5 with snipers and no upgrades for holding an objective
(I already have 1 sniper squad of 5 with telion and another sniper squad of 5 with camo cloaks each also has a heavy bolter and the 1 without teliuon has a combi flamer)

Or to give my 3 drop pods deathwind launchers and give 1 of them a locator beacon
(2 of my drop pods will be holding suicide sternguards with meltas as vulkan is my HQ, the other is holding a mid field tac squad of ten to keep people away from my snipers holding objectives. I also have a deep striking CC termie squad with TH/SS that I would use the locator beacon for.)

Ideally my strategy so far is to have everything in reserves except for my scouts that have infiltrate. I will use infiltrate + scout to get them on objectives near my side of the table and sit on them. I then plan on drop podding my tac squad between the enemy and my snipers to stall them from getting into firing range of my snipers. I then have my squad of 10 CC termies that I plan to drop behind my enemies army to take out any HQs and/or anything he wants out of range of my snipers that he is trying to hide in the back. As for my suicide stermguards, they drop pod in behind a vehicle and drop 2 meltas and 3 combi-meltas into it, if they live after that, they just wreak general havoc into infantry.

So could this strat be better with another unit of snipers to hold a third objective? or deathwind launchers on my drop pods and a locator beacon on the sternguard pod that has to assault in on turn 1 so My termies don't have a bad scatter.

deathwind launchers are a waste of points. The range is laughable and as it's a template there is the risk it scatters at least on the pod if not on the unit which was inside of it. Locators however are nice if you have more than 1 as it's harder to destroy them all before the reserves come in.
So I suppose you put Locators on your first wave of Pods and also add some more bodies to your Scout squads.

Also with which squad do you run Vulkan? He cannot go with the Termies as he can't deepstrike with them.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

Vulcan comes in with my tac squad which are flamer equipped so he can pop out of the pod with them and flame away.

And can you purchase razorbacks/rhinos/drop pods without a unit for them? because if that is the case would it be a good decision to just buy an empty drop pod with a locator on it so that I can keep BOTH of my sternguards in reserves in case my opponent puts all of his armor in reserves? Because as is I have to drop a tac squad and a sternguard on turn 1 so if there is no vehicle they will get killed behind enemy lines before they can do there job.

No you can't, every transport needs a squad it is dedicated to and every squad can only have one transport and must be allowed to get one (scouts for example are not).
To get another pod on the table (in this case it would be empty) you could get a rifleman-dread with a pod and Locator. The Dread starts on the table and shots down hard targets and the pod comes in where you want the Locator to be if there aren't enough vehicles for your Sternguard. To get the points for this you could tone down your Termis a bit. 5 Hammernators are normally enough to fulfill any given task and preferably you want the cc to end in the enemys turn so he can't shoot on you so they shouldn't be too killy.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I am trying to stray away from things with armor values and I already have 3 elite choices (1 cc termies and 2 sternguards)

But do you think that dreadnoughts are still worth it in 6th at 1500 pts? Especially because I play a lot of necrons around where I live. And I am not a fan of there auto glance on a 6 which seems to tear vehicles up pretty fast.

Now I have never played as SM before so if dreadnought are really good and I am just not seeing it can you please explain. (I have also only been playing for about 2-3 months)

Hm ok I didn't think about that you have 3 Elite so far, sorry.

But to the dreads:
Imho dreads did not loose that much in survivability as AV 12 normally protects you against mass glancing which can happen to rhinos and other AV 11 and 10 as even S7 only cause a damage result half of the time.
But Necrons are a different story. I have not played them that much in 6th so far but imho even if he shoots a whole warrior-blob into your dread he doesn't shoot your scoring units and it isn't that hard to get a cover save for the dread so even if he gets 2-3 glancing hits (this should only be the case if he is in rapid fire range or it is a really big warrior-blob) he shouldn't wreck the dread in 1 turn.
As I'm not willing to pay the horrendous prices for dev-squads I normally bring one Dreadnought as fire support for my advancing tac-squads and it served me great so far.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

I'd avoid dreads, unless you're going to bring a lot of them. They just move so slowly that your opponent can deal with them at his/her leisure. They're low target priority, but as soon as your opponent wants them dead, there's not a lot to stop that from happening.

75pts? MARBO...oh wait.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...
