Recently I heard an idea and wondered if anyone had tried it. Dual combi weapons on your wolf guard. I was mainly thinking of a drop pod, with 5 PA WG, each with combi-melta/plasma (depending on their target) with a combi flamer. Drop in, pop a tank/unload on some termies and then, when/if they recieve a charge they have 5 flamers to unload during overwatch. With counter attack, and 2 attacks base they would still have a decent amount of cc presence. Anyone tried this? Maybe put a powerfist in for that extra punch.

Nobody is going to charge 5 PA WG when it's so much easier to shoot them...

I guess that is true. But still, if they live then they get to flame and assault. Not saying it a tourny worthy idea, but just as a different take on the suicide WG that some people run.

Don't expect a DP unit to survive after their initial landing. Loading them up on more stuff would be a complete waste.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

I would agree to that if they were the only DP unit. But a drop pod army should have no trouble keeping units alive.
