I know it still needs some clean-up...the reason for that is because I am a little uncomfortable with the silver metal for the Disruption Pod nodes and the engines. I am debating if I want to keep it silvery or go with a copper or bronze.

I want other people's C&C on the devilfish as a whole and especially on the silver because I have a hammerhead being painted the same way as well as silver highlights on my other units.

Love the scheme as a whole. Personally, I'd keep the metals as you have them, tidy them up, then treat the ends of the engines as people treat flamer nozzles. Show the heat effects on them with a yellow/blue/brown wash (Brown at the end, blue in the middle, and yellow forward) if you can in the space available.

However, that may also be a bit advanced. The main thing that struck me from your pictures is that you haven't pulled the joins in and you haven't filled them. This is most noticable at the main cabin joins, and to a lesser extent at the joins in the engine halves.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." Yeah, I didnt have a filler before I started painting. Since it is still in base coat phase, I will go back and fill in. And for the flamer nozzle tip, thanks...never tried it but Im going to see how it works out.

I think brass/copper in place of the silver may look a bit too close to a chaos colour scheme. I'd wash the silver down with nuln oil/badab black and take it from there.
