I was looking into using some of the old Metal Tyranid Warriors as a brood of Tyrant Guard, and I was looking into giving them boneswords. I am slightly confused by the codex entry however. It states the Scything Talons can be replacec with "One of the Following" lash whip is a line entry and then Bonesword is another. It reads like you replace the set of talons with a single bonesowrd or a single whip. How do you model that? Leave a scything talon on one side and then give then the other weapon in the other arm? Can you give them 2 boneswords or a lash whip and a bonesword?

Mine have converted lash whips from a venomthrope. I read the codex entry and completely missed where it said "One". However in the case of lash whips, 1 whip does the same effect as 20 and only a single scything talon has no special rules -- so in my case it doesn't affect wysiwyg at all.

now the case of a bonesword is another issue entirely - I have no clue if it is a typo, and should say 'boneswords". Going by strict RAW i would just convert 1 scything talon to a bonesword and leave the other alone. Or give a single (or pair ) of lash whips...but not a bonesword AND a lash whip, because that is taking more than "one" of the following...

I just checked the FAQ on GQ site, and it doesn't mention it anywhere.
