Could we see a Wraithlord-esque version of Eldrad in the next codex?

This is pure speculation...

To start off, Eldrad is probably the most epic of Eldar heroes. He "became immensely resilient and very powerful [in later years] " (Codex Eldar, 2006, pp. 51). He also has all but been destroyed, with the exception "a handfull of waystones" (Codex Eldar, 2006, pp. 51).

Wraithlords are "summoned into being by the necromantic processes of the Spiritseers, only a true hero of the Eldar race has spirit enough to animate the gigantic wraithbone shell of a Wraithlord" (Codex Eldar, 2006, pp. 47).

Given these two bits of information would it not be possible, provided enough of Eldrad's spirit remains, for him to end up being a Wraith-something as a future HQ choice? I imagine that he would have lost some of his psychic powers but he is still an Eldar Farseer beyond comparison to his kin.

Ehhh, maybe. If they advance the story line.

Eldrad's soulstone is found and placed in a Wraithlord. Giving them a Wraithlord HQ. The codex could also get the ability to upgrade a normal Wraithlord to a Wraithseer. Giving them Wraithlords with limited psychic abilities.

Seeing as the one who took him down was potentially Slaanesh Him/Herself...

However seeing as the timeline is in stasis at the point of the Cadia 13th Black Crusade fight. Never will happen.

Well, Eldrad was enough of a dick without being the Eldar equivalent of a dreadnought. Imagine the dickery he could pull off as a wraith?

Imagine him being like Trayzen, but in Wraithlords/Wraithguard.

Simply put, he would be kinda like a librarian dreadnought, except significantly more powerful psychically.

And harder to kill...

Honestly I dont really find the wraithseer that powerful a unit but thats more due to their repetoire of powers than anything else.

Meh. Armor is too weak now. Dreads get crushed by infantry fire or assault and if he's a mc he'll be killed before he could do anything. If they have him a wraith guard retinue with 2+ 3+ it'd be mean but that's prob not going to happen.

I rarely have trouble with my MCs dying as eldar. You just have to keep them in cover for Pew Pew rather than rushing them at the enemy.

Especially against the IG's "Bring it down" rule. He would probably have an invuln save.
