I was just wondering what everyone thought about this as a tank? I've been thinking about making one as I just got a Land Raider from a friend, and it looks like a really cool unit. However, I've heard that it really doesn't work because of LOS on the side lascannons. You'll never be able to fire more than three lascannons (one single and two twin-linked) at a target. It does have POTMS, but that still leaves one out. I've seen a few that had predator turrets on the top of them and I don't like the way they look, the turrets look out of place and as if there would be no room for the mechanics that would operate the turrets. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on this? I prefer to play Apoc games to regular games, and I have a friend who has apoc games at his house every month or so, I don't think it would be a waste if it is effective.

LOS isn't too big of a problem. You should be able to get LOS on the primary target with the hull gun, the two front sponsons, and one of the back sponsons. The final sponson won't be able to get into arc (the front sponson blocks it) unless you're point blank against a titan, but you have POTMS to fire that final sponson at something else.

Anyway, it's better than any other Land Raider in Apocalypse, since the other ones are all garbage. If you're bringing one at all you might as well cover it in LCs.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

The other thought was a Land Raider Ares. It might fit into my army better, but I think it will cost more to make.
