Progress thead!
So, I'm starting warmachine.

I'm liking menoth, have played a handfull of games, and have ordered my guys (who haven't shown up yet)

Anyways, I'm not particularly fond of the "we are holy tra la la, also fire" color scheme that menoth players seem to go with.

I'm looking for more of a fiery zealot, ash-caked army full of hate and anger stepping over the burned husks of its enemies. As an example I'll be swapping a majority of the heads or making little blindfolds for them, which will house bleeding eyes


first exemplar knight squad is close to done, this one is black, grey robes, and the front of their masks are painted ah-la punisher skulls.
Need to shade the robes a little better and add maybe a little more color, nothing really came out in the pics so =/


Need to dull coat the dirt, the corpses will still be "fresh" looking I think

I think next batch i will shade then drybrush the burnt cadnium, it ended up a little too dark I think. Once I get models based i'll put some little tufts of burnt grass in there and maybe on a captain or two i'll have one of the arms outstretched and tugging at the captains robe like it is still barely alive.

So basically normal menoth from that perspective.

I like everything except the ravagore head on the avatar. That feels out of place to me. The jack kicking that coward out of his hiding box is pretty great.

I get that alot, but the jack actually has meat and muscle bursting from its frame and the face/sword is going to be a bit weirder,

beginning stages of painting, afterward going to convert all the character jacks
