G'day all,

Anyone know of some good alternative heads for Bretonnian Knights? I want something helmeted that would suit the crusader theme of the army without the big silly crests. Maybe just keep the crests for champions and character models, and the rest uncrested.

There are the Knight Errant heads, but they're a rather plain and boring and not too many variants. I considered cutting off the crest from the regular Knight of the Realm Bretonnian helms, but this looks tricky to do neatly, as the band below the crest is very large and would need to be removed, then I'd need to resculpt something, possibly to match the cloth over the back of the helmet or remove the cloth completely. Basically, not a simple task!

Any ideas?

Cheers

Maybe some roman head.

Cut the crest, leave the band. Use a little GS to shape the top in a gently rounded shape with some wrinkles to the rear sides, like the band was holding a piece of cloth over the top of the helmet.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.

Yeah, I was considering this, but I'm thinking the band is too thick and will look funny. They made the band around the KOR heads thicker than the ones on the Knight Errant heads, but you don't notice because of the gigantic crest sticking out. I'm worried when the crest is removed it'll look a bit silly with such a thick band. Removing the entire band and sculpting a new one is possible, but a larger time investment than I can put in to them.
