I am not looking for random, generalized advice on tourneys. I've hunted down and re-read DashofPepper's old tourney pep-talk so, my attitude and regard for the game is understood.
What I think would greatly help is a Turn by Turn check list, something like:
Target Priority - what's the biggest threat to my units?
What's the enemy's weakest/most easily disposed scoring unit?
Deployment specifics. I'd like to focus on the BAO mission scenarios, which can be found on Frontline's 'site.
It looks like I'll be fielding a Rune Priest-led, 3 LF spam list, with the rest as GH footers. Prolly one Termie crew inna Drop Pod (allowable for Wolf Guard).
Say you had that memory hitch like Robert DeNiro in "Awakenings". If you were to write a short Turn-by-Turn check list, what would you put on it?

1. Assess the biggest threat to your losing the game. Is it a Death Star? A tough objective holder? Kps?
2. Assess if you can effectively deal with that threat tis turn and how.
3. Take note of the mission objectives and how your plan to win needs to shift based on your opponents last turn. Then adjust your plan accordingly.
4. Move, then check to make sure you have moved everything. Did you cast all relevant movement phase powers/special abilities?
5. Shoot, using the correct target priority. Then check and make sure everything has shot. Did you cast all relevant shooting phase powers/special abilities?
6 Declare all your assaults, move units into assault, cast all relevant powers/abilities, resolve the assaults. Did you forget any assaults/consolidation moves?

I don't use HBs & you don't use Drop Pods. Your list, written by OverWatchCNC. Co-written? And, really, you're trying to take credit for LF spam?
I do take the dice thing seriously though. Someone I know is liquidating their 40k collection, including dice, so maybe there will be some *used* salvation for my luck rolls.
