Hey guys,
I want to use these two in a list.
I know they work for Circle, Trolls, and the Searforge Commission, but I don't know which I would want to run them in.
If you guys have any opinions, I'm listenin'

Lesser warlocks in general don't mix with the Hordes factions as well as they should. Your warlock needs beasts to leach from as well as the animi they give. In smaller games, the points are better spent on faction models. I'd say at 50 point games or larger, after you've purchased the faction beasts and supporting infantry you want, then you can start thinking about including a lesser warlock.

On the other hand, lesser warlocks are very much enjoyed by Warmachine factions because they essentially bring a warjack that generates it's own focus. Low to mid focus casters without huge amounts of Faction synergies especially like them.

As to Brun and Lug themselves, they are a beatstick, plain and simple. They have Pathfinder, but aren't very fast. They get various bonuses for staying near each other, but occasionally they get in each other's way when trying to charge something. They aren't very durable, though you can make Brun more durable than Lug which discourages assassinations.

In a Circle list, certain warlocks might make good use of them as a second line heavy warbeast. In general, Circle is faster than B&L, but can use their ability to take down enemy heavies.

Trolls have many in faction synergies that B&L can't benefit from, and don't need the help taking down heavies. However, the pair packs Pathfinder. If you can spare the points, they can operate by themselves on a flank.

Searforge is where they shine, IMO. You can run them in whatever role you want, they operate at full efficiency without requiring any focus, and count as faction models.
