Hey everyone I just got my first forgeworld model and its pretty sweet. After lurking all the different forums and seeing some horror stories with them I was wary but for the most part it turned out all in good shape. I dont play the game just read the books and paint so I went with the weapons that I thought looked the coolest. One thing I hated though was my own fault. You know when you clean the mold lines and all the stuff, give it several looks over and decide its good. Well damn it if I didnt do that and found a few I missed once the paint was on.SOOOOO annoying whe nthat happens so forgive a few of them. The pics washed out a bit of the highlighting done on the red which is the only highlighting I have done so far, everything else mostly has the layers and a wash. My question is regarding the plates/shields, I am not sure what design to put on them. I cant free hand worth a damn but stripes and the such should be cool. I need help with some ideas. Anyway heres the WIP shots. C&C welcome.

Looks sweet. Is it for blood angels of for another army?

Well technically im wanting to make a small pre-heresy blood angels army. This however is my first time painting alot of red and boy was it a pain. So many layers. Im wanting a a five man squad probably mk3. However the red did come out a bit bright for what I wanted. I am going to dirty him up a bit especially on the legs. Thanks for the comment.

Heres an update. Iv worked on the purity seals, not sure if I want to do black scribbles on them or leave them as is. I highlighted the gold but its washed out a bit. I also highlighted all the black besides the helmet, still have to get to that. Only things remaining on the model is the arch above the head and the shield plates on the leg and shoulder. Still wanting some ideas from you guys on what to do with that. Im thinking Im going to go ahead and paint the arch gold as well. Any thoughts welcome!
