Clapham is a reasonable distance on the tube and plays lots of different games (plus in a pub) on Thursdays. Not sure what else is around there, but there used to be a club in Ealing, Friday nights I think, if still going.

I have heard rumours that there may be a club starting up in chiswick. Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/ChiswickGamingClub?fref=ts, and although that hasn't been updated for a while, I spoke to one of the guys involved last week, and he said that they still plan to make it happen, so it may be worth checking occasionally.

Is that going to be based in the GW store, so GW only, or independent and open for other games?
For some reason, I never really think of clubs in stores as being "proper" clubs.

It won't be in the store, so there's no reason you couldn't play other companies games. It looks like it might start off mostly with 40k, but go for it. I'd be be up for other stuff if it does get up and running.

Sounds alright. Wheres the venue (facebook blocked at work) as I might pop in and have a look, chiswick being pretty simple to cycle to from where I am.

They're still looking for a venue unfortunately. They have at least posted on facebook again, so it is still alive. I'll post up details when I find out.
