I haven't played them much but I think they are okay. I'm not blown away by the unit nor am I disappointed in them.
My biggest issue with them is that they never seem to do eleven points worth of work either through damage or defense. Also, for whatever reason no matter how far their charge range is I have never been able to get a meaningful alpha strike with them since a forest or building is usually in the way. If there was a way to grant hunter or ghostly to them I would certainly give them a new look.

I have been playing a unit of 3 and really like them. I play them as a backfield unit that has the speed to get anywhere very quickly and usually strike down the flanks.
3 of them on the charge with an assault order does a pretty good job of messing things up. Reach plus tall in the saddle is nice. Ride by attacks and impact attacks can be golden if an oppurtunity arise. Read up on all these rules to make sure you understand them. They are a little tricksy.
I have played them with Seige and eHaley. Seige doesn't do much for them, but on feat turn they can wipe things out. eHaley has some nice DEF bonuses against shooting which is probably their biggest weakness. They also don't like to get stuck in against tarpit units. They do their dmg on the charge like real calvary, not standing around. So you want to either kill what you charge or have another unit ready to help clear them out of a jam. eHaley is fun becasue she can TK them out of combat if needed.
All in all I really like them and they play to my style alot. Fast, mobile and hit hard. But I don't think they are for every scenario or every player.

They're powerful when they connect but fragile for their costs and that "Powerful when they connect" isn't necessarily powerful enough to offset the relative fragility.
They'll do well in matchups against opponents with inferior threat projection, and good targets for them. Which is a decent number of matchups.
They're solid but hardly all-stars. You'll get use out of them, but if you won't find yourself lacking your lack of the unit if you don't get them.

I really like them. They hit pretty hard, and they're good on their own with little support. There are some dirty tricks you can do with them due to them both having immunity to electricity and electro leap on their ranged attack. I had one walk up on a pesky solo (I think it was a Mage Hunter Assassin) while other models in the unit shot him in the back. He took no damage while the solo got fried by electro leaps.
