Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation

I like range a lot, but some melee is good. I don't want Tau or Eldar.
I was thinking of either IG or Tyranid, not sure which codex is older.
I hear IG is rather expensive to build up, but thats just what I read, don't know anyone who run IG
Any suggestions??

Tough Tyrant Guard
|
I'd go with Guard just so you could Allies of Convenience them with your Chaos army. You'd be hard pressed to find any average melee units though, much less decent. Their codex is older than Tyranids, but it shouldn't be a factor at all for 6th ed.
As well, Guard gets you Vendettas, which, depending on your local meta, may or may not be useful.

Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

I would agree with Guard, for most of the reasons stated above

Consider Daemons, They are supposed to be the next 40k Dex, and would make awesome allies for Chaos. They are the only allies that are battle brothers, as well.

I think we are more likely to see Tau or Eldar as the next dex. Honeslty I don';t think we will see daemons now until early next year...but I could be wrong.
Back on topic, I agree, guard would allow to to play with allies with your Chaos.
Why are you moving away from Chaos so quickly?

Lesser Daemon of Chaos

If you just want sheer numbers, consider taking IG allies, with a full Conscript squad that has the one upgrade (Send in the Next Wave! ?) and just flood the enemy with cheap bodies. Or, get your PCS to give the First/Second Rank Fire! order and you get to roll 100-150 dice. Sure, they only hit on 5's, but hot damn that's a lot of shootin'.
Nid's are good, but just wait until they get a new codex before you start them. IG is expensive, but you can slowly build up using an allies detachment.

I"m not looking to move away from chaos anytime soon, but just for when I do feel like adding a second army
