Ok, I'm probably covering old ground here-no doubt others will have posted better thought out rules somewhere on here, but me and my mates were planning to create a Custodes Apocalypse force, having read some of the 40k lore out there and being semi inebriated (at the time) we duly roughed out what we thought were reasonable (Pre-Heresy) Custode stats, so what do you think? Oh and if you know of others who done this better-or even if there's some official rules floating around out there that we missed a link would be appreciated.

Pts
Custode;:65
Centurion; 80

WS-5
BS-5
S-5
T-5
W-2
I-5
A-3
Ld-8
Sv-2+/4+

Wargear:
Artificer Armour, Iron Halo, Guardian Spear.

Guardian Spear;
Two Handed, AP 2, Master Crafted, Rending, Attached bolter; fragmentation rounds (poisoned 4+), AP3, Rapid Fire

Rules:
Acute Senses, Night Vision (+not affected by "blind" weapons/affects), Counter Attack, Fearless, Relentless, Precision Strike (5+), Infiltrate, Move Through Cover.

We were thinking squads of 10, with a Centurion (WS-6, W-3, A-4, LD-9), before the game can choose to split up into two 4 man squads with the remaining two Custodes gaining the scouts rule.

I feel they are underpriced. A Paladin is very comparable at 55pts, but these guys have better everything for a mere 10pts more.

Agreed

They should be 75 base 100 for centurion, maybe 85 for the normal guys...

also FW maybe be releasing rules for custodes with the rest of the pre heresy stuff they are releasing, i dont know but i would like to think that they would considering they are the Big Es bodyguard...

"Camouflage is the colour of fear... I have no need to hide from my foes... I have no fear of death.
My colours I wear openly, they proclaim louder than any words, "I am proud to live - I am proud to die!"

4000 Points of Farsight's Finest tau
8000 Points and counting Sons of Horus
2000 Points of Death Company Blood Angels

Agreed. Everything needs a 15 point boost I'd say, plus perhaps take them back down to Toughness and Strength 4.

Overpriced? fair enough, truth be told i was using a minor points adjustment for the Deathwing Knights-but yes you guys are probably right pts wise. As for strength/T 4-the reason why the stats were upped was the whole a Custodes is like unto a marine like a marine is to a gaurdsman-cant site references unfortunately. I'm not saying that there isn't a valid argument for S/T4 Custodes-indeed in the HH novel on the Raven Guard it states that there was negligible physical difference between SM's and C's but still... Anyway thanks for the input!
