PhantomViper is correct, just note that there are abilities that give an additional die. You cannot Boost a dice roll that is already boosted, but Additional dice are not boosted dice, so you can roll those with boosted and/or Additional dice.
For example: If a model has weapon master, they roll and additional die for that weapon damage. So if this model charges another model, and hits, it will do 2d6 + 1d6 (boosted die from the charge) + 1d6 (weapon master additional die
Another example from Hordes side, the caster Zaal's feat creates ancestral rage tokens which allow a friendly faction model to boost melee attack or damage rolls. Our friendly beast Molik Kharn has weapon master on his weapons.
If Molik Kharn walks up to a model and attacks, and hits, he can do 2d6 damage + 1d6 additional die for weapon master, + 1d6 boosted by spending an ancestral rage token.
If Molik Kharn charges a model and hits, he does 2d6 + 1d6 addional die for weapon master + 1d6 for boosted charge. He CANNOT spend an ancestral range token for boosted damage, because the charge already boosts the damage.
sorry this went long, was trying to make sure i found a couple of good examples.
